The Inuit beliefs are religious. They believed everything had a soul (humans, objects, animals etc...) All things happened with the involvement of some spirit.
The shaman was their central religious figure. He owned amulets that could have control over some spirits. He blessed hunting, treated sickness and provided advice in hard times.

The Inuit didnt have sacred buildings. The nature was sacred to them. The amulets they owned acted like guardian angles. To lose an amulet was a tragedy.

The Inuit religion was preserved because of the Shaman. He passed the stories through generations.
